I have waited a few weeks to review this item so that i can give an honest opinion on it. Firstly i have to comment on how well made the device is - it feels premium, and it should do at a drop under £300! I personally have always thought these type of devices were gimmicky and never saw myself purchasing one, however i decided to take the plunge when shark released this device. The device needed charging straight out of the box, and this does take quite a long time, in my case nearly 2hrs. Charging is by USB C which is great for me. The mask it attached to a small hand held control unit by a cord, which is a little annoying at times as i found myself getting tangled! I decided to scrunch up the cord to make it shorter. There are 4 cycles you can choose from programmed into the handset, blemish repair mode, anti-aging, eye revive and skin sustain. Each one of these modes sets the LED's and time according to the programme. I have been using the blemish repair mode and my partner the anti aging mode. The mask has a bit of weight to it, but is surprisingly comfortable to wear, the head straps are fully adjustable so you can balance the mask perfectly. Once the programme is selected on the handset via the intuitive LCD screen the device kicks into life. The LEDS are bright!! Especially the red ones - you really do notice them when you first switch on the device, but you soon get used to them. You face is not fully enclosed, there are two eye holes, nose and mouth holes, so no claustrophobia! Breathing in the mask was easy, with no steaming! The eye patches get super cold, and i mean really cold! I have it on max and my partner has it on the lowest setting. I have always suffered from baggy eyes, and i hate this about my appearance, and i can honestly say the cooling function definitely does work to reduce the dark circles and bagginess under the eyes! What i did find though is whilst the effect is visible it does not last. I missed a couple of days using this device and my dark baggy eyes returned!! It is recommended you use the device every day for 8 weeks, so maybe a full course of treatment will help with the permanency of the reduction. Included are two clip on eye plates which you can attach to make the surface area of the colling pads a little closer to your face. I did not need these however my partner did. I found the eye cooling amazing and super refreshing! The programme time varies according to the mode you select - the max time is 8 minutes, which just flies by. I love the fact i can wear the mark whilst watching my favourite programme on TV! In summary i no longer think these type of masks are gimmicky.. i am now a convert and will continue to use this mask as part of my daily skincare routine. As a bloke that seems strange to say, but i really do feel that this device has made a difference to my ever ageing skin and my baggy eyes!! Would i recommend this to others - i most certainly would, it is a well made product that actually works! My skin definitely feels better and it also looks viably better. My partner agrees and has the same thoughts that i do. The only negative about the device is the fact you can not set user profiles on the controller. I would have loved this to have been a feature as i am sure most people will share this device with other family members. Not being able to select a different user profile messes up the recording stats on use. Maybe shark can introduce that by way of an update in the near future?! One final point - when wearing the mask it just looks super cool - both my partner and i have taken many pictures of ourselves in the mark. I did think about peering through my neighbours window with it one evening - but decided against it as it could be terrifying!!

This is a FANTASTIC mask! I previously had the currentbody mask which I sold and replaced with this! This is A LOT easier to use! It's cheaper so fantastic value for money and it also has a few different settings! I've been using the standard one as well as the acne one and I've noticed a huge difference already in my skin texture and appearance as well as a huge reduction in acne marks! This mask is a lot more comfortable to wear than the flexible masks and it feels really high quality! So much easier to put on and take off and it has little build in cooling pads under your eyes! Honestly I cannot sing this masks praises enough! It's honestly so effective and my skin looks and feels so great!!

Before using this LED face mask I was a little apprehensive at how safe it would be, light therapy certainly seems to be a big hit in beauty treatment these days but I’ve come across tons of warnings regarding to be careful with such treatments etc. This product from Shark definitely seems to be a good one but certainly at a high cost as it’s not cheap. The red light therapy is supposed to soften the signs of ageing, whilst the blue light therapy is aimed at blemish treatment. Plus there’s an add-on for under-eye cooling, designed to de-puff and revive eyes. After several weeks trying this product, both myself and my mother, we definitely feel that it does make a positive difference, you just need to persevere. The mask itself is kind of eerie in appearance, especially when the light therapy is active, it certainly has a spooky Halloween feel to it. Comfort wise it varied between us, there are extra pads to help find a good fit. The build quality is good but not robust so be careful when using but I would say it should be durable and last the test of time, just have to hope it doesn’t stop working. The accompanying remote is easy to use, intuitive and also in colour, which is nice, not all products incorporate this. Overall I’d have to assess this as a very good investment but that is a steep price point, which really is the only real negative. Recommended!

I debated buying this for a while before taking the plunge. I am not a newcomer to LED masks having previously owned a soft style one ( not very good as not powerful enough) and a well known high end rigid mask, which although effective, I could only use lying down as the head strap wasn't strong enough to hold it in place. What prompted me to buy this one was an endorsement from a very well known UK skin guru. Well, I'm so glad I went ahead. Firstly the mask is very well presented and packed nicely in its box, and would make a lovely gift. The mask comes with a good quality storage bag which has an inner pocket for storage of all the accessories. Now, to the mask itself- it is sturdy but not too heavy, is extremely comfortable to wear with strong adjustable straps. The overhead strap ensures it stays in place when walking around so no fears of it slipping off. I found the under eye cooling panels were sufficiently close to my skin so I have not needed to use the additional clip on ones provided. Although it is early days to report on the long term effectiveness of the mask, I have really high hopes based on my limited useage so far. Even after just one use my skin felt refreshed and glowing, and my eyes were less puffy. I find myself really looking forward to using the mask every night, and it's not difficult to fit into my beauty routine - just 6 minutes after cleansing is all it takes. If you are undecided about this I would say go for it - at this price it is exceptional value compared to other high end offerings, and the under ewye cooling panels make it unique.
